On April 17th Representative Doug Lamborn (R, CO) introduced House of Representatives Bill 1604.
To establish the National Geospatial Technology Administration within the United States Geological Survey to enhance the use of geospatial data, products, technology, and services, to increase the economy and efficiency of Federal geospatial activities, and for other purposes.
No further text has been made available as of yet on the bill. It has been introduced and referred to committee; however, at this point, govtrack.us only gives it about a 34% chance of passing committee.
